so, 17 years after the popularity boom, i'm finally trying yoga. i feel extra tight + tense 24/7 now, so i thought it would be a good idea. while it definitely feels nice to hold those poses... it's a lot harder than it looks. i don't know if you've ever tried yoga, but it is intimidating! i don't know what all those schmancy names are... yoko-what? where is chair pose? anyway, i've only been a few times + so far, my most constructive criticism was the following:
me: *trying to hold warrior I or II, i don't know, while keeping things straight + open + whatnot*instructor: "you look like you're taking a poop in the forest."
me: *does same thing, turns one foot slightly in*
instructor: "no." *comes over and adjusts me herself*
me: *nearly falls down three times*
so needless to say, it i still need some work – but i think i like it so far. we'll see if i get any additional feedback in the next class.
looking at some of these poses... i have no idea if i'll ever get there! le sigh.

I love yoga ... but hate yoga class. It is hard for me to focus when people are telling me what I am doing wrong. I have Yoga for Beauty with Rainbeau Mars - 2 Volume Gift Set (Dawn & Dusk). You can get it on Amazon.com. Great dvd.
