jewelry jewelry everywhere...

if you're anything like me... you have necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings sitting on every spare inch of your bedroom. coming out of ever drawer. and shoved in tiny pockets of bags.

when i stumbled upon this post from everything leb {one of my new fav blogs, btw. check it out.} i was instantly motivated. this idea is so pretty. lovely bowls + plates in a drawer to keep all your pretties separate! i love it. genius.

this board of pins + necklaces is also very cute + unique. not to mention useful.

 mission organization... here i come.

some people say my head is shaped like a giant pumpkin...

i disagree.

however. for those of you who didn't know... "it's the great pumpkin, charlie brown" will be on abc tonight @ 8pm. it is a special tradition for me + the fam. we always watch the charlie brown holiday shows. and at christmas time... don't even get me started. you'll see what i watch as we near closer to december twenty-fifth.

however. this year. i've cheated. i've already watched the charlie brown halloween episode twice {egads!} i know. i know. but that's what happens when you have a wonderful boyfriend who buys you the peanuts dvd collection . {love it.}

this is the scene that always makes me laugh.

watching the dvd is never exactly the same as watching it on tv during regular airtime. so, at 8 tonight i will be snuggled up with my doodle + a blanket. {possibly my linus blanket that was a christmas gift from jp. yes. i have issues.}

ohhh google street view.

hee hee. here's a funny for you.
watch the google street view short here .

{ on the reading list }

29 gifts.
when a young woman found out she had multiple sclerosis, her attitude + outlook took a turn for the worst. then an old friend offered some advice: stop thinking about yourself, stop dwelling on your pain + start giving away 29 gifts in 29 days. in her book, “29 gifts,” she chronicles her giving cycle and explains how it altered her perception of her situation. it couldn’t cure her condition, but she was no longer too tired (or too bitter) to live her life.

sounds like an amazing story that i can't wait to pick up.

{ fashion icons }

don't they both look amazing?
{yes. that is olivia.} but i love her jacket + shoes!

and her black ensemble + chic sunglasses are stunning.

both photos via the sartorialist.

mission :: aqua glass necklace

so i may or may not be a closet fan of gossip girl.
ever since i watched the wedding + the speech episodes... i've been in love with this jewelry.
i'm obsessed with these earrings + can't find an affordable pair anywhere.
any ideas?

they look stunning with that dress, too.

also, this necklace is an amazing piece.

still searching...

notes from a weekend...

saturday morning i woke up early to head downtown for my half marathon reward... a deep tissue massage with hot stones. {bliss} if i woke up to that every day, i wouldn't need an alarm clock.

it was my first visit to the nicci debro spa :: in the heart of downtown on nationwide blvd, across from the arena. definitely. amazing.
i am positive that it was the best massage i've ever had! my shoulders definitely needed the release. i didn't want to move the rest of the day, as to not anger my muscles. so i propped myself up on my couch with my pup, lit a pumpkins pice candle + watched the ohio state game on tv {maybe with a glass of wine, too!}

{addy likes to get dressed for the occasion}

i highly recommend the nicci debro spa, if anyone is interested in a new spa or looking for an excellent massage experience. it was worth every penny!

sunday, the bf + i carved our pumpkins we'd picked out from the pumpkin patch last weekend.
it was the perfect sunday to sit outside with a pumpkin + the pooch.
we tried to get creative...

can you believe he had never carved a pumpkin before?
have you?

pretty good attention to detail for a first timer.

can you guess whose is whose?

because the pumpkin carving needed to be a little more "manly"... this pose should do the trick.

they turned out pretty well! can't wait to light them up after dark.
hope you've all had a wonderful weekend.

*charity bracelet*

just placed an order for this chic red wrap bracelet + gold ring.
first of all... it's simple + cute.
second? it's for charity. a portion of each bracelet benefits PAWS {pet adoption and welfare services.}

 this talented designer, danielle, has merged her two favorite things :: animals + jewelry, to come up with this fabulous idea for a stylish charity bracelet.

visit her lovely site :: gem gossip  + etsy shop here to get yours.
she has several lovely colors and single bracelets or wrap bracelets.
not to mention, her jewelry blog is absolutely stunning + full of fabulous thrift finds as well as unique pieces + boutiques.

definitely adding gem gossip to my list of daily reads.
can't wait to wear this red wrap!

{ s.n. wedding walk :: fourth + final }

after a full forty five minutes of salivating over gowns... what better place to end the walk than with cakes!

bakery gingham is currently undergoing preparation for their newest shop in the short north. they're currently very successful in german village.

we flipped through the cake books + nibbled on these tiny delicious cupcakes.

of course there were gorgeous cake designs, like these ::

mmmm....

this is around the time we decided we needed mexican food + drinks.

and so ended the short north wedding walk
it was so much fun. thanks to rachel for letting me be a part of it all!
i hope all those notes she scribbled down will come in handy in the upcoming planning months.

and... i think i've convinced her to start her own wedding blog! as soon as she does, i'll post the url here.
it's bound to be full of great snippets of design + amazing ideas {no pressure, rach.}
but hey, it runs in her fam - they're all super creative.

hope you've enjoyed these wedding sneak peeks + tips as much as i have enjoyed posting them
thanks for reading!

{ s.n. wedding walk :: take three }

and now... the part you've all been waiting for...
{ok, so probably not... but that's ok. i've been super excited to post this one!}

the. dresses.
{insert heavenly angel choir here}

ok. so this shop. there are no words.
i told rach to forget about the groom {p.s. i do heart you, ian} and marry this store.

big rock, little rooster is in the heart of the short north + is only a young eight weeks old! it is, indeed a shop for "chicks that like cool stuff."

*special note :: i am purposely ignoring and reference to pricing + all costs for this particular post. it makes it much more enjoyable to live in my dream world. :)

after getting through the front door + tempering the hyperventilation... we listened to the owner{s} explain their new store concept. every dress is a sample. you simply try tons of them on + they clip and alter them on you to fit like a glove. then they specifically order what you need with gobs of measurements to ensure it is a perfect fit. this way, no two dresses are exactly alike.

then they explained the appointment process. the bride chooses a time + brings her closest girlfriends + family. they close the store and refuse walk-ins while you're there for your fittings, as to give the bride their full attention. the bride + her group have free reign of the store.
*wiping drool from face *
brlr provides excellent champagne and super fun music the entire time.

we sipped our champagne + felt like carrie bradshaw.
{yes that is mine. no i did not ask for a refill. thank you.}

rach definitely gravitated towards the classics.
just standing beside these dresses + labels does something amazing.
vera had my favorite gowns - hands down.
don't. mess. with. the. vera.

again with the photo documentary.
i believe she was a tad more distracted in this store + didn't mind my antics as much. or just became really good at ignoring me.

brlr carries the following labels only:
amy michelson
christos
kenneth pool
legends by romona keveza
vera wang

and lovely bridesmaid dresses, too.
{no poofy sleeves here, ladies}

i took the liberty of picking out the dresses for lizzie + myself.
they look like this ::

 hot, no?

magical. the whole shop.
even if you're not getting married + don't have an engaged friend to mooch from...
i definitely suggest stopping by the store. it's just plain fun!
if you are engaged... these gals have tons of fabulous tips + wedding day services to offer up.
is this every girls dream job or what?

dear big rock, little rooster... i do.

one most post to finish up our wedding walk evening, coming soon.

s.n. wedding walk :: part deuce

after drooling over the uber chic chandeliers at collier west ... we walking down the street to... rose bredl - flowers, table settings, candles, accessories + more!

greeting us as soon as we walk in the shabby chic front door... these beautiful roses! i can't say that i've ever seen such gorgeous, full + colorful roses before. they definitely went directly into rachel's notes. as they should! the shop smelled of floral arrangements and clean candle scents {such as "dish soap" + "moss"... no really. those were the names. dish soap? who knew...}

an ahaa moment... instantly. there they are... hard at work.
i like to call this "mental crafting." you can see the wheels turning. lawyers...

then we marveled at these amazing branch + twig bobbles hanging by threads from the ceiling. and of course, took several photos so we could try to recreate them ourselves. so far our process involves a balloon, some twigs, rubber bands, potentially some krazy glue... {aka if you have a better method... please let us know before we hurt ourselves or a loved one.}

rach converses with a tour host while i continue my embarrassing array of photography... someday she'll thank me. {and if she doesn't... i'll pretend she wanted to, but couldn't find the right words}

i was particularly intrigued by these place settings. three plates and a pretty piece of greenery topping it off. the letter plate is particularly cute, don't you think? and rach has the excellent idea to incorporate this into her table settings....

cute little personalized stones, to serve as seating/table arrangements. very unique. very rachel!

rose bredl had amazing hand made hair pieces. all of these tiny feather clips are great.

also the headband on the far far left is particularly cute. definitely a throwback to the forties-ish era with the short chic veil attached.

of course it was all lovely + i think she took a lot of great ideas away from this stop during our short north wedding walk.

ok. the next post. absolute favorite part of the night!
trust me... you won't want to miss it!
